Last Chance to Apply for the 2019 Rising Star Awards!
Deadline is Tomorrow, March 15, 2019

The ASBMR Rising Star Awards provide $60,000 in funding to six promising early career scientists and physician-scientists in the bone field who have already been recognized by individual NIH “K awards” and other similar international professional development programs. The award provides additional funding to the awardees to successfully implement their programs, stay in the field and transition to independent investigators. Grant submissions can be basic, clinical or translational and the primary focus must be on bone, mineral and musculoskeletal research. This award is open to all ASBMR members. International members living outside the United States are encouraged to apply. Fellow of ASBMR Nomination Deadline is Tomorrow, March 15, 2019

ASBMR is accepting nominations for the 2019 class of Fellows of the ASBMR. This distinguished program recognizes long-term ASBMR members who have made outstanding contributions to the field of bone, mineral and musculoskeletal science.

The program is committed to recognizing the breadth and diversity of the Society’s membership. Fellows are nominated by their peers. To learn more about this program, review the nomination guidelines, or submit a nomination click here. The nomination deadline is tomorrow, March 15, 2019.

 

Apply Now for the ASBMR Travel Grant to the
Bisphosphonates 2019 Meeting! Deadline is Monday, March 18!

ASBMR is pleased to offer four (4) travel grants to the Bisphosphonates 2019 50th Anniversary Meeting, July 15-17, 2019 in Sheffield, United Kingdom. Please click here to apply for one of these travel grants. Two grants of $500 USD for European-based young investigators and two grants of $1000 USD for non-European based young investigators are available to assist with travel to this meeting. Application deadline is Monday, March 18, 2019.

 

Apply for the 2019 Harold M. Frost Young Investigator Awards!
Deadline to Apply is Monday, April 15, 2019

ASBMR is accepting applications for the 2019 Harold Frost Young Investigator Award. ASBMR will provide up to ten young investigators $1,500 each in travel support based on competitive applications. These awards give young investigators a unique opportunity to present their research and connect with senior investigators at the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) 48th International Musculoskeletal Biology Workshop, which will be held July 25 – 28, 2019 in Sun Valley, Idaho, USA. Apply Now for the Diana Jacobs Kalman/AFAR Scholarships for
Research in the Biology of Aging

The American Federation for Aging Research has established the Diana Jacobs Kalman/AFAR Scholarships for Research in the Biology of Aging to give students the opportunity to conduct a three-to-six-month research project focused on biomedical research in aging.
 
To be eligible, applicants must be MD, DO, PhD, or combined degree students in good standing at a not-for-profit institution in the United States, such as universities, medical schools, hospitals, or non-government agencies. All application materials must be received by AFAR no later than 5:00PM EDT on April 15, 2019 to be considered.
