About ASBMR
Corporate Advisory Board
The ASBMR Corporate Advisory Board (CAB) was established to promote interaction among ASBMR’s leadership and representatives of the Society’s corporate supporters. Membership is limited and terms are for one year. Attendees at CAB meetings discuss mutual goals and identify and promote programs/products of mutual interest at twice a year meetings in Washington, DC, USA.
Recent Accomplishments Include:
- The 2002 ASBMR Meeting on Osteoporosis Trials: Ethical Considerations in Study
Design (co-sponsored by four government institutes/agencies and eight professional
societies and voluntary health agencies; the meeting report was published
in the June 2003 Journal of Bone and Mineral Research.)
- A new late-breaking abstracts session at the ASBMR Annual Meeting (an excellent
way to attract media attention to clinical trials and other clinical and basic
research breakthroughs)
Continued interaction of the Corporate Advisory Board leads to excellent new
educational programs that have a measurable impact. Through CAB, the ASBMR joins
with member companies that care about promoting bone and mineral science and
translating the latest science to clinical practice (ASBMR’s mission).
