About ASBMR

ASBMR BUSINESS PLAN

The ASBMR Council and Finance Committee consider proposals for new programs submitted by Committees, task forces and individual members. Proposals should be submitted in the format of the business plan below. The ASBMR recommends that new programs be self-funded and directly related to ASBMR's mission and goals. For assistance completing this form, members should contact the ASBMR Business Office at asbmr@smithbucklin.com.

Business plans are considered in concept at the Winter Council Meeting; budgets and supporting documents should be submitted as follows:

Deadline
February 1 Proposal due to ASBMR
May 31 Complete proposal due, including detailed budget
July 31 Budget to Finance Committee for review
September 20 Proposals due to appropriate committees and/or task forces for review
November 15 Council vote completed for possible incorporation in next year's budget and program planning

If a member believes that an idea might fall under the charges of an ASBMR Committee, contacting that Committee Chair before submission is recommended. Committee charges can be found by clicking here.

All business plans should be sent to the attention of:

Executive Director, ASBMR
2025 M St., NW, Suite 800

ASBMR appreciates members' creativity and new ideas. The following programs are just two direct products of successful business plans:

  • The Pediatric Initiative (a meeting held at the 24th Annual Meeting with follow up Work Groups devoted to identifying research questions to guide future attention to benefit children; the Work Groups presented at the 25th ASBMR Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, September 19, 2003.
  • )

  • A 25th ASBMR Anniversary Videotape which premiered at the 25th ASBMR Annual Meeting.
