For the first time this year, ASBMR awarded three Shun-ichi Harada Young Investigator Awards to commemorate ASBMR member Dr. Shun-Ichi Harada who passed away in 2006. For the next five years, three awards of $1,000 each will be awarded to young investigators who receive the highest ranking for abstracts submitted in the categories that closely relate to the scientific contributions made by Dr. Harada.
