**Graduate and medical students and those holding M.D. or Ph.D. degrees in residency or post-graduate fellowship programs may obtain the reduced fee by having their mentor sign the registration form to verify their training status.
*** Allied Health Professionals are defined as professionals who participate and help physicians in delivering healthcare and professionals who contribute to the scientific efforts of physcians or PhD's, etc. Allied Health Professionals may obtain the reduced registration fee by providing degree/ credential information on the registration form.
Registration Materials and Procedures
Registration fees entitle the registrant to one copy of the 2008 Abstracts book (available for pick up on-site), and admission to all sessions, posters, exhibits, the Welcome Reception and refreshment breaks. An additional ticket is required for Working Groups, the ASBMR Women’s event and the ASBMR Social Event. The 2008 Abstracts book is distributed on site to all attendees. To obtain an advance copy through the mail – before the ASBMR Annual Meeting – you must order a copy ($60 fee) prior to the pre-registration deadline of Thursday, July 17, 2008. We encourage you to make use of the 2008 Abstracts Online that will be accessible via www.asbmr.org by mid August 2008.
Advance Registration
To qualify for the discounted registration rate, your registration must be received no later than Thursday, July 17, 2008.
Those who have pre-registered by Thursday, July 17, 2008, will receive their name badge and all purchased Working Group/Social Event tickets via mail prior to the meeting. Online registrations receive an immediate confirmation they can print and save. If you received your badge in the mail, bring your badge materials directly to the ASBMR Program Distribution Counter in Room 220A of the Palais des congres de Montreal to receive your badge holder, 2008 Abstracts book and On-Site Program. There is a $50 replacement fee for lost, stolen or forgotten badges.
If you register after Thursday, July 17, 2008, you will need to pick up your meeting materials on site in Room 220A of the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

Refunds/Substitutions
Refunds, less a $50 administrative fee, are provided if written requests are received by the pre-registration deadline. No refunds are provided after that date, except in cases of emergency, and when approved by the ASBMR Executive Director. Refunds are mailed after the meeting. Spouse/Guest and Working Group registration fees and Social Event tickets are non-refundable.
There is no charge for substitutions. Eligibility requirements for Member or Student rates will apply. Late Registration rates may apply to substitutions made after the pre-registration deadline. Once a badge is printed changes can only be made on-site. Badge sharing is not allowed.
Admission
ASBMR shall have sole control over all admission policies at all times. Any person (including family members) visiting the exhibits or attending any function of the meeting is required to register and wear an appropriate badge while in attendance. Children 12 and under are not permitted in the Exhibit Hall at any time. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Spouse/Guest Admission
A badge for spouses and/or other guests may be obtained for a $30 fee. This fee includes admission to the Welcome Reception, as well as to the Exhibit/Poster Hall. Spouse/Guest badges are intended for spouses/guests of fully registered attendees who are not employed or active in the industry.
Group Registration
Tour leaders should complete an individual registration form for each of your delegates or visit the ASBMR registration site to register on-line. Incomplete registrations will not be processed. On-line registration is now more powerful and allows tour leaders to enter a list of delegates and enter the payment information only once at the end of the process. Once payment is complete confirmations will be immediately sent to the confirmation email address provided. Your confirmation will include instructions on how to log on and request changes or additional receipts.

All on-site registration takes place in Room 220A of the Palais des congres de Montréal, 1159, rue Saint-Antoine Ouest, 9e étage, Montréal, Quebéc, Canada, during the following times:
