    Rapid-throughput skeletal phenotyping of 100 knockout mice identifies 9 new genes that determine bone strength

    The authors performed a high-throughput multi-parameter phenotype screen to identify mice generated by the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute Mouse Genetics Project that had functionally significant skeletal phenotypes.  They identified 9 new gene deletions associated with bone mass of which 5 were associated with low bone mass and 4 were associated with high bone mass.
