    Submit an Abstract for the ASBMR 2012 Topical Meeting on Bone and Skeletal Muscle Interactions

    Abstract submissions are now open for the ASBMR 2012 Topical Meeting on Bone and Skeletal Muscle Interaction. This “state of the science”, held July 17–18, 2012, in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, will draw together leading muscle and bone researchers to exchange ideas, develop new collaborations and accelerate the emerging scientific discoveries in the area of muscle and bone interactions.

    Abstracts are due Wednesday, February 29, 2012, by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), which is five hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

    Abstract categories include:

    • Bone and Muscle Interactions During Development
    • Aging: Changes in Muscle and Bone, Linkages and Shared Etiologies
    • Common Mechanisms Influencing Bone and Muscle Mass-‘Pleotropy’
    • Defective Mechanotransduction and Repair
    • Preventing and Treating Muscle and Bone Loss
    • Emerging Areas

    All abstracts will be included in the poster sessions and published in the Program and Abstracts book. Top-scoring young investigator abstracts will be selected for oral presentation. Oral and poster presenters will be notified in early April.

    Abstract submission will open on February 1 and abstracts are due Wednesday, February 29, 2012, by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). EST is five hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The submission site will be accessible via the ASBMR website.
