New Personal Identifier for JBMR Authors!
Date: November 10, 2016
The ORCID iD is a unique and persistent identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher – by connecting you with your research contributions and affiliations. As part of our commitment to supporting authors at every step of the publishing process, JBMR will now require the submitting author (only) to provide an ORCID iD when submitting his or her manuscript. This takes about two minutes to complete.
Free to use and register for, an ORCID iD increases the discoverability of your research outputs, and helps alleviate mistaken identity. You have full control of your ORCID record and can control what information is connected and how it is shared.
- Funders, institutions, and societies can easily identify you and your research
- You don’t waste time entering repetitive data when reporting on your past activities
- Your professional activities are clearly linked back to you
- You can easily comply with funder mandates
ORCID is a non-profit organization supported by a global community of organizational members, including research organizations, publishers, funders, professional associations, and other stakeholders in the research ecosystem.
