Date: March 05, 2014
On Wednesday, February 26th, ASBMR Councilors, Committee Chairs and Advocacy and Science Policy Committee members, along with people living with osteoporosis, XLH and osteogenesis imperfecta, visited their Senate and Congressional representatives to discuss the need for sustained research funding for NIH. Prior to the visits, they heard from speakers from FASEB, the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, of which ASBMR is a member, about the latest on Federal funding for research. Shown in this photo are Drs. Teresita Bellido, Melissa Kacena, Michael Econs and Jessica Finkel, who is living with osteogenesis imperfecta, visiting with Representative Susan Brooks, Indiana.
