FASEB Launches Second Annual Stand Up For Science Video Competition

The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) is launching its second annual Stand Up for Science Video Competition. The competition awards the most engaging demonstration of the value of scientific research to a public audience. “From the creation of flu vaccines and new cancer therapies to enhancing agriculture and developing biofuels, bioscience breakthroughs are transforming our world and our health at a rapid pace,” according to the award announcement. “However, many Americans are not aware of the critical role the US federal government plays in supporting biological research and discovery.” FASEB will award $5,000 to the winning video.
