DOD Announces Orthopaedic Research Grants

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has announced the availability of several orthopaedic research grants. Applications are being accepted for the following grant programs:
- The Peer-Reviewed Orthopaedic Research Program (PRORP) Technology Development Award, to support development and testing of an upper extremity prosthetic system that augments existing body-powered prostheses.
- The PRORP Clinical Trial Award, to support the rapid implementation of clinical trials with the potential to have a significant impact on military combat-relevant orthopaedic injuries.
- The Translational Research Partnership Award, to support translational research to accelerate the movement from orthopaedic research to clinical application for military personnel with combat-relevant traumatic orthopaedic injuries.
