ASBMR Announces Recipients of 2012 CEA and JFOR Awards

Congratulations to the 2012 Career Enhancement Award (CEA) recipient: Despina Sitara, Ph.D., New York University College of Dentistry, USA for her research grant entitled: “Regulation of Hematopoiesis is Mediated by the Bone-Derived Hormone Fibroblast Growth Factor-23 (FGF-23)”. The 2012 ASBMR Career Enhancement Award is supported by an educational grant from Lilly USA, LLC.
Congratulations also to the two Junior Faculty Osteoporosis Research award recipients:
- Eve Donnelly, Ph.D., Cornell University, USA for her research grant entitled: “Spectroscopic and Biochemical Markers of Bone Quality in Patients with Atypical Femoral Fractures”.
- Susan Krum, Ph.D., University of California Los Angeles, USA for her research grant entitled: “Determining the Mechanism of How GATA4 Mediates the Protective Effects of Estrogen in Bone.”
