ASBMR Member Rajesh Thakker Elected as Fellow of the Royal Society, UK

ASBMR is pleased to announce that Rajesh Thakker, M.D., FRCP, has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society. The Royal Society is a self-governing Fellowship of many of the world’s most distinguished scientists drawn from all areas of science, engineering, and medicine. The Society’s fundamental purpose is to recognize, promote, and support excellence in science and to encourage the development and use of science for the benefit of humanity. Dr. Thakker was elected as a Fellow due to his sustained series of contributions to endocrinology, particularly parathyroid and renal disorders affecting calcium homeostasis.
