    Go4Life Campaign – Fitness for Older Adults

    On October 19, 2011, Go4Life was introduced by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) at a briefing on exercise and aging on Capitol Hill. The federal program is meant to encourage people 50 and older to make physical activity a regular part of their day. The campaign was formed by the National Institute on Aging (NIA). Only a quarter of the population ages 65-74 say they engage in daily leisure-time physical activity. This is despite the proven health benefits that regular exercise can provide.
