The Journal of Bone and Mineral Research’s Author Guidelines Revised
Date: September 04, 2013
The Journal of Bone and Mineral Research (JBMR®)’s editorial team has recently updated and streamlined the journal’s author guidelines and the author agreement form. Key revisions include: Change in reference style for listing authors to Vancouver format, clarification that the maximum length of original article papers (24 pages) includes references, figures, figure legends, tables and table footnotes, and the author agreement is now a writeable PDF that can be signed electronically (no more need to print out and scan) and follows ICMJE standards for disclosures and conflicts of interest. All new manuscripts submitted to JBMR® are expected to comply with the updated author guidelines by Oct. 1st.
Additionally, the key word list has been updated, and authors will find tips on improving discoverability for their articles in the ScholarOne manuscript submission system.
