NIH Launches First Training Institute on Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health

The National Institutes of Health is offering a five-day training session on “Dissemination and Implementation Health Research” from August 1-5, 2011. The event represents the first time the NIH has offered sessions on this subject, which will be held at the Rizzo Conference Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention in Chapel Hill, NC.
Session topics include: designing for dissemination and implementation; design, measurement and evaluation; global health; participatory approaches to dissemination and implementation; addressing health disparities; cost effectiveness and economics and dissemination and implementation in the context of health care reform.
Applications are being accepted through April 15, 2011
