Congratulations to Masaki Noda, 2017 Recipient of the Gideon A. Rodan Award!

Masaki Noda, M.D., Ph.D., is President at Yokohama City Minato Red Cross Hospital and Emeritus Professor at Tokyo Medical and Dental University. He has made significant research contributions in the areas of molecular bases of bone formation, mechanical stress and osteoblastic cell biology. Dr. Noda’s most recent research examines how osteoblasts behave during bone remodeling under anabolic conditions. Over the last 26 years, he has trained five-dozen doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows whose research continues to advance the bone and mineral research field. Dr. Noda also took leadership in the Center of Excellence Program entitled “International Research Center for Molecular Science in Tooth and Bone Diseases” supported by major governmental grants and trained over 140 young scientists for 10 years.
