    US Members Urged to Take Brief DXA Survey

    ASBMR urges US-based physician members to complete a brief survey to provide crucial data about the impact of Medicare payment policy on access to high quality care for bone health. The data will help the Society, along with the National Fracture Prevention Coalition advocate for the restoration of a sustainable Medicare DXA payment rate this fall when the US Congress considers Medicare legislation.  Earlier this year, the Medicare payment rate for DXA bone density scans was cut by approximately 50%, due to the inaction of Congress to maintain the 2011 DXA payment levels.  The brief 16 question, multiple choice response survey will take less than 5 minutes to complete. ASBMR is a founding member of the National Fracture Prevention Coalition.  Take Survey
