Last week, ASBMR members Babatunde “Kay” Oyajobi and Patricia Ducy participated in the annual Rally for Medical Research in Washington, DC, USA. The purpose of the Rally is to call on our nation's policymakers to make funding for National Institutes of Health (NIH) a national priority and raise awareness about the importance of continued investment in medical research that leads to more progress, more hope, and more lives saved. This year, nearly 300 individuals representing hundreds of national organizations participated in the Rally. Drs. Oyajobi and Ducy took the opportunity to urge their representatives to make funding for NIH a national priority.
