PCORI Launches New Awards of up to $15,000 in Funding
Date: November 13, 2013
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) recently announced the launch of its three-tiered Pipeline to Proposal Awards, designed to promote interest in and capacity for developing patient-centered outcomes research proposals. “The program will not fund research directly but will instead build a national community of patients, researchers and other stakeholders who have the expertise and passion to participate in patient-centered outcomes research…that lead to high-quality research proposals,” according to a PCORI blog post. The first funding opportunity is the Tier I Pipeline to Proposal Awards for the Western Region of the U.S.
These awards of up to $15,000 are targeted to those who are not currently eligible or equipped to apply for funding from most other research funding sources. The approved use of these funds is limited to community and capacity building. View the request for proposals for more information, and apply by Monday, December 2, by 5:00 PM ET. In early 2014, PCORI will announce additional opportunities to apply for pipeline awards.
