ASBMR Mourns the Passing of Dr. Greg Mundy

We mourn the passing of Dr. Greg Mundy, a pillar of our Society, colleague and friend, who passed away February 25, at his home in San Antonio, TX, USA. Dr. Mundy was an internationally renowned investigator in bone biology, pharmacology and cancer whose innovative work helped shape these fields. He will be remembered by many for his personable demeanor to all, his generosity in supporting the needs of our members, and the affection he had for his family, friends and colleagues. Dr. Mundy was Past-President of ASBMR and the recipient of both the ASBMR Fuller Albright and William F. Neuman Awards. He leaves an indelible legacy. The training programs Dr. Mundy directed during his long and distinguished career produced over 150 post-doctoral fellows and graduate students in bone and mineral metabolism, many of whom have gone on to successful and prominent careers in academia and industry. Funeral services will take place in Nashville, TN, USA. A memorial service will follow in San Antonio in several weeks. We will send further details as soon as they are finalized.
