ASBMR Members Pen Powerful Letter Highlighting the Importance of NIH Funding

ASBMR members and Past-Presidents Roberto Civitelli, M.D. and Steven Teitelbaum, M.D. submitted an Op Ed letter to the editor urging Congress to increase spending for federal science agencies. The letter appears in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and highlights the need to fund scientific research in order to develop new treatments for devastating diseases. Dr. Civitelli is currently the ASBMR representative on the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) Board of Directors and Dr. Teitelbaum is a former ASBMR representative on the FASEB Board as well as a past FASEB President.
