    Date: May 27, 2020

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is temporarily allowing self-administration or injection by lay caregiver of Prolia® during the COVID-19 pandemic. While administration of Prolia® by a healthcare provider is preferred, the provider may determine that self-administration or administration by a lay caregiver may be warranted due to local COVID-19-related guidelines and restrictions. Read the FDA-approved Prescribing Information. Amgen has also released instructions and a video demonstration of self-administration.
