We are one global ASBMR family of individuals from different backgrounds, countries, and cultures who comprise a host of life experiences, values, and beliefs. We strive to build on this diversity to create an inclusive society where members can learn, discover, and thrive. To foster this mission within ASBMR, the Membership Engagement Committee is developing and evaluating a program dedicated to building “Communities" around themes so that members can connect with others who share their professional interests. By launching these communities, we aim to expand participants’ networks, skills, and professional opportunities while advancing topics relevant to ASBMR’s mission. The invitation to join the first ASBMR Community is below. Did you know that ASBMR members average more than 10% of their time teaching? Do you identify as an educator? If so, join our first community – the “Teaching & Learning in Musculoskeletal Health Community” – which seeks to connect educators and those who are passionate about teaching. Members from all areas including basic and clinical science, nutrition, epidemiology, etc. are welcome. To sign up and begin interacting with your peers, please visit the Teaching and Learning Community forum and click the “Follow” button to join and set your notification preferences.
