The ASBMR Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee invites you to join the next session of the ASBMR Member Spotlight Series on Wednesday, May 26 at 1:00 PM EDT. Tune in as Baohong Zhao, DMD, PhD, Associate Professor at the Hospital for Special surgery, will present on type-I IFN signaling in osteoblasts and osteogenesis, and Marta Galán-Díez, Ph.D., Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University will analyze the role of the bone marrow microenvironment (specifically osteoblasts) in acute myeloid leukemia progression in her presentation. Following each presentation, there is an opportunity for Q&A and discussion with the audience. This monthly series aims to highlight the research of ASBMR members in a collaborative setting, and aims in particular to shine a light on the research being done by ASBMR members belonging to groups underrepresented in biomedical research (i.e., Blacks or African Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, American Indians or Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders). ALL members at all career levels are invited to participate in these sessions. Register to attend the Member Spotlight Series here! To sign up to present, or nominate a colleague to present, visit the ASBMR website!
