In this paper the authors examine the regulatory elements in T-lymphocytes that enhance the expression of RANKL. Important control regions were identified at 76 kb and at 123 to 156 kb upstream of the RANKL gene transcription start site. The binding of c-Fos to these regions was found to be involved in their ability to regulate RANKL gene transcription.
