    Hill Briefing on May 17th to Raise Congressional Awareness of Osteoporosis/Importance of Early Detection

    To mark National Osteoporosis Awareness Month, ASBMR and its sister organizations are co-sponsoring a Congressional Briefing to raise awareness of osteoporosis and the importance of early detection to members of Congress and their staffs. Speakers will include U.S. representatives Michael Burgess (TX) and Shelley Berkley (NV), who will speak on the Preservation of Access to Osteoporosis Testing for Medicare Beneficiaries Act. The briefing will occur Thursday, May 17th at 3pm EDT at the US Capitol Building in Washington DC.  The event is open to the public. More information is available on the ASBMR website.
