Ask Congress to Support the “Bone Health Promotion and Research Act”

    Date: November 18, 2009

As a researcher in the bone field, you know the importance of expanding research, prevention and treatment for osteoporosis and related bone diseases. More than the financial burden, the impact on the lives of those suffering from bone diseases is crippling - affecting their ability to work, to live independently and often times care for their loved ones.

The "Bone Health Promotion and Research Act," H.R. 3856, would create a national bone health program by implementing many of the recommendations in the National Action Plan for Bone Health

Ask your Representative to cosponsor the "Bone Health Promotion and Research Act" and support the creation of a national bone health program to reduce the physical and economic burden of osteoporosis and poor bone health for millions of Americans!

The bill currently has 62 cosponsors.  If your Representative is not one of the Bill's cosponsors, we encourage you to send a "pre-drafted" email to your representative urging them to sign-on to this Bill TODAY.  It is very simple and will only take a few minutes. If your Representative is already a cosponsor, send a thank you letter or email to your Representative.
