AAMC’s ‘Research Means Hope’ Campaign Stresses Importance of Research Funding

    Date: November 28, 2012

The Association of American Medical Colleges has lent their voice to the chorus of advocacy groups calling for continued federal support to medical research funding. The Research Means Hope Campaign emphasizes the link between research and quality of life and health for everyday Americans and their families.

“In order to meet the health challenges of an aging and increasingly diverse population, continue to foster the types of innovation that will drive our regional economy, and remain a vibrant force in the global economy, America needs to invest more in medical research, not less,” their website states. “Cuts to NIH funding will delay medical progress and deny hope to millions of Americans.”
