National Bone Health Alliance Releases New Patient Education Video for World Osteoporosis Day

    Date: October 22, 2015

Tuesday, October 20th was World Osteoporosis Day and our partners at the National Bone Health Alliance released a new video showing a real-life account of the impact undiagnosed osteoporosis can have. As told by her daughter, "Betty's Story" brings to life the connection between osteoporosis and broken bones in order to teach us all what we need to know and do to keep our bones strong as we age.

The key messages of the video include:  “Don't wait to break a bone, if you're age 50 or older and have a family history of osteoporosis or other risk factors, ask your doctor for a bone density test. With testing and treatment, men and women 50 and over can reduce their risk for fracture.”
