    Hypoparathyroidism is a rare bone disorder characterized by hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia and low parathyroid hormone levels. The majority of these patients develop this condition after anterior neck surgery. Hypoparathyroidism has important clinical consequences for both children and adults. In this webinar, ASBMR President-Elect Bart Clarke, M.D. will review the clinical features of hypoparathyroidism mainly in adults and review conventional medical management, the limitations and adverse effects of standard approaches, and future directions in clinical research and management.
