The bi-annual ASBMR-ECTS debate was held at the 40th Annual Meeting of the ASBMR on Friday, September 20 in Orlando, Florida. The topic of the debate was ‘Calcium and Vitamin D Should Routinely Be Part of Anti-osteoporosis Treatment Regimens.’ Arguing for the motion on behalf of ECTS was Roger Bouillon M.D., Ph.D., Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, and arguing against the motion on behalf of ASBMR was Juliet Compston, M.D., University of Cambridge, School of Clinical Medicine, United Kingdom.
