    NSF Award Available for Scientific Achievement

    The National Science Foundation has announced its call for nominations for the 2013 Alan T. Waterman Award. Deadline for nominations is October 31, 2012.

    The award is given to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional individual achievement in scientific or engineering research of sufficient quality to place them in the forefront of their peers. The award includes a grant of $1,000,000 over a five year period for scientific research or advanced study in the mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, social or other sciences at the institution of the recipient’s choice.
