Jane A. Cauley, DrPH Takes Office as President of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research

Jane A. Cauley, DrPH, has taken office as the new president of ASBMR. Dr. Cauley is a distinguished professor of epidemiology and Associate Dean for Research at the University of Pittsburg Graduate School of Public Health and Co-Director of the Center for Aging and Population Health. Her research focuses on the epidemiology of osteoporosis, with special respect to the ethnic and geographic variability in fracture, osteoporosis treatment and the consequences of osteoporosis in both men and women.
“My career is focused on the epidemiology and consequences of osteoporosis in both men and women, including the risks of hip fractures. I have benefitted greatly from my involvement in ASBMR that connects me with other leaders in the field, and I am honored to take on the role of president for this coming year,” said Dr. Cauley. “I look forward to continuing this growth with my colleagues in leading our organization and advancing the field of bone, mineral, and musculoskeletal research.”
