    NHGRI Science Spotlight- A New Role for Zebrafish: Larger Scale Gene Function Studies

    A study was released Friday, June 5th by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) press on behalf of the Online Information Branch (OLIB) regarding zebrafish gene DNA and the discovery of gene function and disease identification in humans. Scientists at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) reported a relatively new method of targeting specific DNA sequences in zebrafish, which could dramatically accelerate interpretation of gene function in people.
