    Help Proposed Increases for NIH Research Funding Get Approved – Contact Your Representatives!

    The U.S. Congress is back in session for its final session of 2016 to complete its work on the 2017 budget. If Congress does not act soon, the $2 billion increase for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) recommended by the Senate Appropriations Committee this summer will not be approved. Additionally, $25 million for agriculture research will disappear and the budget for the National Science Foundation will remain at its current level.
