ASBMR Topical Meetings present leading research on timely, top-of-mind scientific topics. Held regularly, the Topical Meetings disseminate and discuss specific, in-depth research on one scientific area of interest
Osteoporosis and sarcopenia are major contributors to frailty in the elderly population and are growing public health problems. Although muscle loading of bone clearly plays a role in their interaction, little is known about potential cellular and molecular mechanisms.
This "state of the science" topical meeting, held July 17-18, 2012, in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, will draw together leading muscle and bone researchers to exchange ideas, develop new collaborations and accelerate the emerging scientific discoveries in the area of muscle and bone interactions.
Registration information will be available in February.
