Professional Practice Committee
ASBMR recognizes there is an urgent need to bridge the gap between what we know about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of bone diseases and what is being practiced in the clinical setting. This committee has the responsibility for identifying the needs of ASBMR members who are in academic or community clinical practice.
- Make recommendations to leadership on mechanisms to address key problems in clinical practice.
- Make recommendations and provide comments in response to requests made by government agencies, associations and other entities for input on clinically relevant topics on behalf of ASBMR.
- Advise other ASBMR committees and task forces on clinical topics as needed.
