ASBMR Call for Volunteers

We need you! ASBMR volunteer leaders play an active role in developing and leading the worldwide research agenda in bone, mineral and musculoskeletal science. Nominate yourself or a colleague for a leadership position to actively contribute to ASBMR’s strategic goals, develop crucial leadership skills and make important career connections.

Nominate a Colleague:
To nominate a colleague please send the following information to the ASBMR business office via email – asbmr@asbmr.org.

- Position you are nominating the Individual
- Email address of Individual
- Reason for Nomination
- CV/Biosketch (Optional)
Staff will notify the individual that they have been nominated for service by you and will be asked to complete the self-nomination form. Only nominees that affirm their willingness to serve by completing the nomination form will be considered for volunteer positions.

2023 Open Leadership Positions:
ASBMR Officers:
The ASBMR Nominating Committee is seeking candidates to stand for election for one (1) President-Elect position and one (1) Secretary-Treasurer-Elect position. Two candidates for each position will be included on the 2023 ballot. The term for both positions is three-years and will begin at the conclusion of the 2023 Annual Meeting. If you wish to nominate a candidate or self-nominate to participate in the Officer Selection Process, please contact Hannah Miller at hmiller@asbmr.org.
ASBMR Council:
The ASBMR Nominating Committee is seeking candidates to stand for election for three (3) Councilor positions. Six candidates for Councilor will be included on the 2023 ballot. The term for a Councilor is three-years and will begin at the conclusion of the 2023 Annual Meeting.
ASBMR Committees:
The ASBMR Nominating Committee is also seeking candidates for appointment by ASBMR Council to committees, to begin in the fall of 2023, at the conclusion of the 2023 Annual Meeting. All approved committee members serve three year terms.
ASBMR strives for diversity with respect to Council and Committee membership and specifically encourages international members and young investigators to nominate others or self-nominate.
Candidates are strongly encouraged to reach out to current committee chairs to learn more about the committee(s) and the issues they are currently working to address.
