Dear Colleagues, The countdown to the 2020 ASBMR Annual Meeting Virtual Event is on! The meeting includes exciting digital features to help facilitate discussions, opportunities to network with peers from around the world, and the ability to participate in sessions that best meet your needs – all without leaving your home, office or anywhere, which I’ll touch on below. Our Annual Meeting platform ensures that you will be able to make the most of this year’s virtual event. It includes exciting digital features such as pre-recorded sessions streamed live with interactive Q&A, session suggestions based on your areas of interest, and the ability to earn points and prizes for completing actions during the live event like visiting exhibitors and submitting questions to speakers during sessions. Don’t worry, we will be sending out instructional videos as well as one page “Quick Start” guides with tips and tricks to navigate the platform and maximize your meeting experience. Coming together to connect with peers from around the world is one of the many pleasures that makes the ASBMR Annual Meeting special. Although we won’t be face-to-face this year, you will have the flexibility to virtually interact with your colleagues during the meeting from within the meeting platform through a variety of networking options, including a Matchmaking Tool, Collaboration Communities, Peer-to-Peer Video Conferencing, a robust e-Poster Platform, and dedicated Networking Sessions. We will not lack opportunities to connect with one another throughout the meeting. Lastly, our most significant membership benefit this year is that Annual Meeting registration is free for all members! Your complimentary registration includes everything mentioned above, access to the full virtual program, free registration to ASBMR Symposium: The Seed and Soil: Therapeutic Targets for Cancer and Bone, access to virtual networking opportunities, and access to the Meet-the-Professor program scheduled to take place throughout Fall 2020/Winter 2021. In addition, ancillary activities like working groups are also available at no charge. So what are you waiting for? Don’t miss your opportunity to explore exclusive, high-caliber education, learn about groundbreaking research discoveries, and connect with colleagues from all over the world in a new, virtual format. Register now! Sincerely, Teresita Bellido ASBMR President
