  • ASBMR Member Dana Gaddy, Ph.D. Hosts Congressman Pete Sessions at Texas A&M University to Discuss the Importance of Federally Funded Research

(ASBMR Member Dana Gaddy, Ph.D. (L), Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-17) (R))

Last week, ASBMR member Dana Gaddy, Ph.D., had the special opportunity to host a meeting with Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-17) at her institution, Texas A&M University – College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gaddy and Congressman Sessions had a productive discussion about the importance of continued investment in research, funding support for research impacted by COVID-19, and funding for osteoporosis testing. Dr. Gaddy took this opportunity to share her recent research studying the bone health of mouse Down Syndrome models to Congressman Sessions. The in-person visit was an extension of last month’s ASBMR Virtual Hill Day. Many thanks to Dr. Gaddy for hosting Congressman Sessions and advocating for biomedical research and musculoskeletal priorities!
