Congressional Briefing on Musculoskeletal Pain
Wednesday, June 24
ASBMR, in partnership with AIMBE, will co-host a congressional briefing highlighting the burden of musculoskeletal pain, current research directions, and future opportunities for scientific advancement. The briefing will also underscore the critical role of NIAMS at NIH in supporting research and driving progress in this field.
Congressional briefings provide a valuable opportunity for researchers to share their expertise directly with congressional staff through accessible, policy-relevant presentations and discussion. These sessions help build connections on Capitol Hill and position the research community as a trusted resource for policymakers.
This briefing will be hosted in coordination with the Longevity Science Caucus and the Addiction, Treatment, and Recovery (ATR) Caucus, creating a forum for meaningful dialogue between scientists and legislative staff and helping to shape how emerging research is understood and prioritized in policy discussions.
