Application Process

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • Current undergraduate, graduate, or medical professional students
  • Conducting basic, translational, or clinical research in the bone, mineral, and musculoskeletal field
  • Able to provide an anticipated graduation date to verify student status

How to Apply

Applicants must complete the online application and submit:

  • A Letter of Support (one page) from an ASBMR member in good standing (mentor, co‑mentor, or institution‑affiliated)
  • A Letter of Interest (one page) describing how participation will support your scientific and career goals

Accepted file types: .doc, .docx, .pdf

Notification of Acceptance

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Accepted students will be notified directly by the ASBMR office.

Program Expectations

Students accepted into the cohort agree to:

  • Participate in at least 50% of monthly educational and networking sessions
  • Complete all focus group surveys and questionnaires distributed throughout the year

A full calendar of events will be provided to help with planning.

Each month, we'll host an educational event for the cohort. Below are the currently planned topics for 2026 and recordings from past cohorts. Please note future topics may be subject to change. To access recordings, you will be asked for a password provided to all Student Cohort participants.
