    ASBMR 2013 Annual Meeting Advisory

    • Oct 14, 2013

WASHINGTON, DC – The American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) 2013 Annual Meeting is the largest scientific meeting in the world on bone and mineral metabolism, offering an exceptional scientific program that highlights innovative research, technology and new clinical treatments in bone diseases and disorders of mineral metabolism.

This year’s Annual Meeting, being held in Baltimore, MD USA, October 4 – 7, 2013, brings together more than 4,000 researchers and clinicians from nearly 70 countries. The meeting includes lectures and symposia plus over 1,400 poster presentations and 200 oral presentations.

This year the ASBMR is offering a topical program that precedes the Annual Meeting. The ASBMR Symposium: Cutting Edge Discoveries in Muscle Biology, Disease and Therapeutics will be held on October 3, one day prior to the ASBMR 2013 Annual Meeting. This special one-day symposium has been organized to advance the understanding of muscle and bone interactions in order to discover treatments and means to prevent both sarcopenia and osteoporosis. The symposium will draw leading muscle and bone researchers nationally and internationally along with invited experts to exchange ideas and stimulate new collaborations.

All events take place at the Baltimore Convention Center located at 1 W. Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD 21201, unless otherwise noted.

Following are a sampling of highlights from each day of the meeting:
