Travel Support Available for URMs to Attend the ASBMR 2023 Annual Meeting

The ASBMR Under-Represented Minority (URM) Mentorship Awards Program aims to increase networking and mentorship opportunities as well as increasing active participation and representation from individuals in this group at the ASBMR Annual Meeting.

Selected applicants will receive funding to help offset costs associated with traveling to the ASBMR Annual Meeting, as well as one-on-one mentorship with an ASBMR senior investigator. To learn more including eligibility criteria and to apply, please visit the ASBMR website. The deadline to apply for this year’s Annual Meeting is Monday, June 12.

Tomorrow Is the Last Day to Apply for the Early Career Clinical Investigator Award

The inaugural Early Career Clinical Investigator Award honoring Robert Marcus, MD will be given at this year’s ASBMR Annual Meeting being held October 13-16, in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The newest Society Esteemed Award will annually recognize meritorious clinical research by a member who has completed their professional degree, residency training or equivalent (whichever is later) within the past 15 years.

The deadline to submit a nomination for this award is Tomorrow, May 19, 2023. Full details, including award criteria and the nomination form are available on the ASBMR website

The Early-Stage Investigator Committee will be hosting a Clinical Case Workshop next Thursday May 25 at 1:00 PM EDT. Join Michael Mannstadt, MD and Garyfallia Papaioannou, MD, PhD, as they cover the topic of Hypoparathyroidism Management.

The clinical case workshop series aims to engage clinical fellows/trainees in stimulating discussion around musculoskeletal topics, and attendees are encouraged to ask written questions (via the chat function) to allow for a more interactive style. Click here to register.
