The American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) is pleased to announce the two recipients of the 2025 Fund for Research and Education International Travel Grants!
Rimesh Pal has a Doctor of Medicine in Internal Medicine and a Doctorate of Medicine in Endocrinology from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India, where he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Endocrinology. Dr. Pal is a Mentee in the 2025 ASBMR Mentorship Program being mentored by Dr. Sabashini Ramchand and Dr. Dolores Shoback. Their current research focuses on osteoporosis, sarcopenia, primary hyperparathyroidism and bone disease in diabetes mellitus aiming to address the challenges faced by the masses in India, where musculoskeletal diseases often receive limited attention despite the ever-growing impact.
Constanza Quiroga has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the National University of Córdoba (UNC), Argentina. Constanza is a CONICET fellow and currently developing their doctoral thesis in Health Sciences at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National University of Córdoba, Argentina (FCM-UNC). Their current research focuses on hypertension on bone resorption aiming to elucidate new pathological mechanisms for bone and factors related to its development, such as the immune system, as well as possible therapeutic measures.
The ASBMR Fund for Research and Education, in collaboration with the Development Committee, Ambassador Subcommittee and the Diversity Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Committee developed the International Travel Grant program to enable two recipients from low or middle-income countries to attend the ASBMR 2025 Annual Meeting, September 5-8 in Seattle, WA, USA.
