It is with sadness that we announce the passing of William “Bill” A. Peck, MD on Wednesday, February 22 at his home in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Dr. Peck was a founder of the ASBMR and a pioneer in the bone and mineral field—making seminal contributions to bone biology and osteoporosis at a time when the field was still in its infancy.

Please join us in recognizing Dr. Peck’s contributions by leaving a note or sharing a memory. Memorial contributions may made to the Peck Scholars Program at the School of Medicine: Washington University c/o Advancement Services; MSC 1082-144-2555; 1 Brookings Drive, St. Louis, MO 63130.
The cohort program is designed for undergraduate, graduate, and medical professional students involved in the bone, mineral, and musculoskeletal field. Accepted applicants of the cohort program will benefit from free ASBMR membership as well as monthly webinars covering a wide range of topics related to professional and career development. During these sessions, students will be given the opportunity to participate and network. Students will be asked to provide feedback on their experiences with the program and other areas of ASBMR membership.

    Eligibility:
All applicants must be current Undergraduate/Graduate/Medical Professional students performing basic/translational/clinical research in the bone, mineral, and musculoskeletal field. Students must provide an anticipated graduation date as part of their application to verify their student status. Students who anticipate graduating in Spring 2023 are still encouraged to apply for this cohort.
To learn more about the program and how to apply, please visit the Student Cohort page on the ASBMR website.
