Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)
How does a virtual Hill Day work?
ASBMR will schedule appointments with each participant’s elected representatives. All meetings with Congressional offices will be held virtually and conducted on the Zoom platform. Participants will be grouped by state and will receive their Hill Day schedules approximately one week prior to their appointments.
What training will be provided for participants?
A live virtual orientation is scheduled for Thursday, May 5 at 3 PM ET. The training will cover our messaging or “asks” for your appointments, tips for preparing for your meetings and logistical details. There will also be time for Q&A. This training will be recorded for those unable to attend the live training. Invitations to the orientation will be sent to all registered participants with the specific date and time.
What timeframe are you using for scheduling the meetings on May 10-11?
Virtual congressional meetings will take place between 9 am-5 pm EDT. Participants should not make any other arrangements during these times. Forethought will be made to ensure that meetings do not occur outside of normal business hours of each participant’s local time zone.
How do I view my schedule of meetings for May 10-11?
A virtual platform will be made available to participants to view their personalized meeting schedules, join their appointments and view and contact other participants in their assigned group. The platform will also include talking points and leave behind materials for your elected representatives and staff.
